Reasoning model
A reasoning model spends extra computation before answering — working through steps, checking itself, exploring alternatives — trading time and cost for better results on multi-constraint problems. Fast models answer in one pass and win on simple, high-volume or latency-sensitive tasks. Reasoning is not truth: a long chain of thought can still be wrong.
